  • Overview

    The Project/Change Integration Manager is responsible for execution and management of strategic initiatives for the University. This position focuses on integrating project and change management practices to ensure that goals and/or project objectives are accomplished within prescribed time-frame and funding parameters.  



    • Familiarizes self and others with scope and objectives by conferring with clients to determine and define initiative outcomes, critical success pathways, and feasibility.
    • Work with key stakeholders to ensure efficient and cost-effective implementation of key change initiatives and advise of best practices in the formulation of plans and activities to support project implementation
    • Coordinates the activities of the initiative team, which includes, but is not limited to identifying the appropriate resources needed and developing schedules to ensure the timely completion of the initiative. 
    • Develops a work plan and staffing for each phase of the initiative and may recruit or assign initiative personnel as necessary.  Confers with initiative staff to outline work plan to assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority. 
    • May provide support to other project managers on larger and highly complex strategic initiatives.
    • Provides status reports to supervisor or other management to keep them apprised of progress and any anticipated issues. 
    • Maintains and increases professional and technical knowledge and currency by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies 



    Basic Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or having an equivalent combination of formal education and directly related work experience is required. 
    • Two to three years of project management experience on progressively responsible and complex projects required.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Familiarity with the technology environment and supporting functions and applications typically used to support business operations.
    • Thorough understanding of organizational change and proven ability to drive business transformation.
    • Strong facilitation skills to drive a team towards problem resolution. Experience with defining system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively direct and assign the activities of team members on highly complex and comprehensive projects.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate tone and style that best represents the situational context internal and external customers and department staff.
    • Experienced with project and change management methodologies (PMI, ADKAR, SCRUM, etc.) Industry certification (CAPM, Prosci, etc.) preferred.
    • High proficiency with project management and presentation development software required.
