Overview

Under minimal supervision, supports, administers and maintains the Hyperion and other assigned Financial Business Systems for the corporate Finance function. Works directly with the corporate and worldwide finance resources to translate business requirements into effectively designed and efficient business solutions.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Provide day-to-day Hyperion and other financial business system administration for the corporate Finance function.
  • Provide day-to-day system user support and training.
  • Develop scripts/plans and implement testing and quality assurance processes.
  • Responsible for internal/external audit compliance and communication regarding tested accountabilities.
  • Maintain existing Hyperion reporting tools and be responsible for Hyperion report development.
  • Track application infrastructure and development and report status to functional teams.
  • Work closely with IT and Managed Services partners to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Manage Hyperion Planning, Essbase, FDM and HFM metadata. 
  • Execute and synchronize changes within and between Planning, essbase FDM and HFM to maintain integrity and compliance with control standards, as appropriate.
  • Manage application data movement and transitions between scenarios/versions and applications, ensure data accuracy and maintain administrator documentation of processes and procedures.
  • Maintain and edit application rules files, calculation scripts and other business logic to reflect changes in business requirements and communicate changes to impacted groups.
  • Ensure application provisioning and security is administered and documented on a timely basis in accordance with agreed upon SOX compliance procedures.
  • Collaborate with the business teams and Business Solutions Architect to plan, design, build, test, and implement technical specifications for interfaces, enhancements and reports. 
  • Make recommendations to enhance system capabilities and improve all processes.
  • Engage customer base to identify opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency of business model logic and processes and incorporate those opportunities into the appropriate applications.
  • Monitor overall application performance to guarantee optimal functionality and response time within defined SLA tolerances.
  • Maintains professional knowledge and technical skills by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing professional networks, and mentoring with key influencers.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• A thorough knowledge in the accounting or finance field as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field required to perform the functions listed above.
• Six or more years of progressively responsible accounting and/or finance experience.
• Five or more years of progressively responsible business-side (functional) administration experience with Hyperion, Oracle, EPM, or other budgeting, forecasting or accounting software packages used to manage finance operations, collect, report and analyze data, and prepare complex financial and operational plans and forecasts
• General knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).


Additional Requirements:


• Ability to express information and concepts with conciseness and clarity when writing and speaking.
• Demonstrated experience in business process documentation, workflow design and project planning
• Strategic thinker with strong financial and business analytical skills.
• Collaborative and innovative with strong influencing skills.
• Hyperion skillset shall include deep administration knowledge and experience with Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Financial Management HFM), Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management (FDM), including maintaining and executing Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) data load scripts, Oracle Essbase database outline configuration, designing calculation scripts, Planning web forms, Hyperion Reports and Shared Services user provisioning and application security settings. Advanced knowledge with Oracle Hyperion SmartView and other add-In tools for planning and reporting.
• Advanced expertise within Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other software packages to manage work activities as described above.
