Under general supervision provides accounting and financial assistance and analysis to its area; responsibilities include expenditure management and forecasting, variance reporting, vendor management, annual operating plan input and coordination of all fiscal closing activities.


  • Provide support to team of Four within IT Finance
  • Identify and analyze key business trends and issues based on actual, budgeted, and forecasted data, e.g. monthly budget variance reports, headcount analysis, year over year analysis, etc.  Proactively interacts with Accounting, FP&A, and business leaders on problem resolution and consistency as well as identifying opportunities to improve both the effectiveness and efficiency of the monthly processes.
  • Develop best practices and streamline processes to enable timely flow of information from business leaders, ensuring forecast accuracy goals are met.
  • Review monthly operating expenses and ensuring proper coding of expenses. Maintain accruals for certain items (i.e. third party).
  • Provide operational finance support to areas of responsibilities (i.e. recommendations regarding spend, ROI analysis and related recommendations, monitoring and reporting of KPIs)
  • Manages with little direction accurate monthly financial analysis and key metric comparisons; develops interpretation and understanding of analysis and communicates findings via consolidated financial reporting package.
  • Develop and maintain financial models related to Technology.
  • Performs ad hoc financial analyses seeking to understand and improve performance and identify and evaluate savings opportunities.





Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field. 
  • 4 + years of progressive finance or accounting related experience

 Additional Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of Hyperion, Oracle and other accounting software packages preferred.
  • Proven analytical capabilities
  • Sound understanding of US GAAP and financial statement basics (must have experience pulling together a basic profit and loss statement and preparing journal entries to accrue expenses)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with business leaders
  • Experience with transaction systems and planning systems (i.e. Oracle, Hyperion Planning)
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other software packages to manage daily operations
  • Ability to effectively communicate financial and non-financial information
  • Ability to clearly and concisely express information and concepts.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative setting an apply innovation in identifying issues and/or opportunities
