Overview

The Digital Production Artist is responsible for developing final creative output for a range of marketing materials, such as web, mobile, static/dynamic banners, HTML emails and motion graphics. The Digital Production Artist also builds engaging and effective user experiences for our cutting-edge web-based platforms and products. This role collaborates with UOPX stakeholders and the associate creative director to identify and address barriers to accessibility.

Responsibilities

  • Finalize layouts and create web ready assets for digital media including websites, mobile sites, emails, display ads, mobile applications, advertising, video and animations.
  • Develop static and HTML5 digital banners; optimize final files to meet size requirements; maintain company brand standards in all production; produce consistent presentation across all browser platforms.
  • Build clean, accurate HTML emails and code to responsive design; troubleshoot and correct HTML coding issues
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure output ready files meet final production requirements; troubleshoot issues, including technology and coding issues as necessary
  • Store and deliver files in organized manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
• Associate degree in Visual Web Design, Graphic Design, Information Science, Computer Science or related field required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a web designer, an interaction designer, information architect or user interface designer in a web and production environment required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with design and prototyping tools like Omnigraffle, Axure, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator or similar tools required

 

Additional Qualifications:
• Animation experience

• Intermediate to advanced advanced skills in CMS systems using Javascript, HTML5 and CSS3; and UX and responsive design
• Thorough knowledge of principles and guidelines of interactive design, information architecture and usability
• Conceptual understanding of user experience research methods and the benefit of conducting user research early and often
• Knowledge of principles of design, including: layout, typography, color, balance, composition and current design trends
• Excellent organizational skills, including strong file management skills
• Visual design experience is a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with business and software development teams
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work well in a multi-disciplinary team environment
• Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivated, flexible, detail-oriented
