A day in the life of a Senior HRBP:

  • Supports Provost Office and Academic Operations senior leadership in an array of HR related responsibilities. What other responsibilities does this role include? Glad you asked!

  • Develop and implement HR Strategies in alignment with business objectives of Provost Office and Academic Operations.  Plan, implement, and coordinate broad/complex programs and/or activities for the Company.
  • Develop, drive and implement the execution of the business unit's talent agenda, focusing on development initiatives, including workforce planning, performance management, selection and retention strategies, while continually upgrading the talent pool across all lines of the business segment.
  • Evaluate business reports, decisions, and results in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency and services performed.
  • Provide leadership teams with coaching during transitional periods consistent with the Company’s objectives, core values and culture.
  • Lead succession planning and professional development plans, identify and assist management by recommending solutions to capability gaps within the organization. Implement action plans regarding matters related to cultural change, employee engagement, diversity, inclusion and talent management.
  • Provide sound counsel, leadership and influence to management with respect to employee relations matters, including EEO law and firm policies/practices. Investigate EEO concerns; make recommendations and implement solutions based on issues investigation process, prepare summary report of employee relations issues.


Do you have the qualifications?

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Business, HR, or related field)
  • Progressive experience providing progressively complex HR Business Partner support with client groups in multiple locations or business units
  • Experience supporting large complex organizations and/or multiple sites
  • Experience supporting senior leadership in an HR capacity
  • Experience creating and implementing HR strategies

Additional Qualifications:  

  • Master's degree (Business, HR, or related field)
  • PHR Certification and/or other HR related certifications
  • Results oriented and able to manage multiple processes and activities simultaneously
